Join us for a two day adventure trip in the glorious Burren!
10am: Meet for Yoga with Rosa
Meeting at Fanore beach (Weather permitting) at 10am – A one hour beginners Yoga to awaken and stretch those muscles for the hike ahead. You will feel so much more energy for the walk and any after effects will be reduced having warmed up with yoga. Exact meeting point TBA.
11.30 noon – 4.30pm approx – Join us for a Burren Hike guided by Linda.
Our Burren hike will leave from Fanore beach and head up onto the green road which will bring us around by Black Head. We will be spoilt with spectacular views of Galway Bay, Blackhead bay and the Aran Islands as we walk. Along the route we will take in the Iron Age ring fort of Cathair Dhún Iorais. We will pass through Gleninagh Pass and Feenagh Valley and head back to Fanore beach via Caher Valley. The terrain along the route will be a mix of green laneways, tracks and mountain paths. Experience the unique landscape of the Burren along the walk. Known as “the largest Rock Garden in Europe”, you will witness the grey bare Limestone rock and lots of beautiful flora and fauna in this unique region. This hike will be no higher than 250m. Distance: approx 18km. Good Level of fitness required. Approx 5 hour hike.
Finishing up the hike in Fanore, you can join Linda and Roz at O Donoghues for dinner. Once we have numbers we can pre book a table big enough to take everyone. (**Please note : meal is not included in overall price)
11.30am – Meet at Fanore Beach for Surf Lesson with Pete and the gang from Aloha Surf School – Ideal for non swimmers as well as swimmers. Aloha offer all equipment and changing facilities etc across from the beach. This will be a first for Linda and Roz so don’t think you have to know what you’re doing! We don’t but we intend to face our fears and have the craic!
Suggest we pop into O’Donoghues Pub afterwards for a refreshing drink and a bite to eat. (**food & drinks not included in price)
This is going to be a really social fun weekend so come and join us and we will have some good old fashioned Craic!
